VP Harris Hit with a Massive Truth Bomb — Can She Handle It?

Former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich thinks that Vice President Kamala Harris’s catastrophic interview with CNN anchor Dana Bash could spell the end of her campaign. The day following the interview, he was on Fox Business Network’s Mornings With Maria with guest host Cheryl Casone, and he projected that Harris would lose the election as a result.

The former Speaker expressed that it was felt President Trump had been very unfair in his comment. It was further suggested that Kamala Harris might be invited to have Governor Walz with her at the presidential debate as a kind of comfort blanket, allowing him to stand beside her without speaking, thus providing her with greater comfort. The former Speaker’s initial reaction was noted to be that Kamala Harris revealed her truly liberal stance.

It was conveyed that Walz essentially admitted to being dishonest, unable to acknowledge to Dana Bash that he had lied about serving in combat. Observations were made that, during that segment, Walz avoided directly admitting any wrongdoing, instead resorting to evasive explanations, which was viewed as characteristic of his personality. Regarding Harris, it was noted that she had claimed to be particularly aggressive as California’s attorney general in dealing with international gangs. However, the question was raised about the presence of a Venezuelan gang terrorizing Aurora, Colorado, despite her assertions.

It was questioned why, during her tenure as the border czar, the number of illegal immigrants had risen to eight or nine million, along with the presence of gangs from El Salvador, Mexico, and Venezuela. Doubts were expressed about the truthfulness of her leadership, and it was suggested that this indicated Kamala Harris might lose the election.

He wasn’t the only one who took issue with the vice president’s interview; others did too. Conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings criticized Harris on Tuesday for inviting Walz, claiming that this shows her evident shortcomings as candidate.

Anchor Anderson Cooper wondered if critics would bring up Harris’s persistent refusal to appear alone in interviews during CNN panel discussion, given that she had gone nearly 40 days without doing an interview or holding press conference as the Democratic Party’s de facto 2024 nominee. Jennings participated in the conversation.

It was asked whether the concern would now be raised about why she wasn’t handling it on her own. Jennings responded by acknowledging that this point would likely be brought up, despite his confidence in both the network and anchor Dana Bash. He agreed that it did not reflect well on Harris to bring Walz along.

According to Jennings, Harris’ appearance with her running buddy looked feeble. He pointed out that it indicated a lack of confidence in her ability to handle the interview alone, which, at the top of the ticket, should have been expected of her. Jennings continued by noting that the hesitations and efforts to manage this situation over the past month revealed a concerning lack of confidence in her political abilities. He suggested that this could make voters question what kind of president she would be if such a relatively minor decision—whether to do an interview alone or not—was so difficult for her.

In closing, Jennings said that Republicans would probably think it was weak of Harris to come in with someone who would take up practically half of the interview, calling Walz her “emotional support animal” for the session in an X post.
