In the latest report, the White House Secretary and the spokesperson Karine Pierre looked uncomfortable when asked what Kamala Harris’s biggest achievement was, while during the press briefing, she was asked to name one of Harris’s policy accomplishments.
President Joe Biden advised the recently announced Democratic presidential nominee to address the root cause of illegal immigration, but she hasn’t had a press conference since receiving the nomination. Critics have also pointed to Harris’s handling of the border issue.

A question was posed to the top White House spokeswoman about what Biden viewed as Harris’s most significant achievement during their office together. Jean-Pierre stated that, due to their partnership, those historic and unprecedented achievements have been accomplished jointly.

It was noted that one of the proudest decisions made in 2020 was the selection of the vice president, as it was believed she could step into the role from day one. It was further remarked by Jean-Pierre that nothing more would be parsed out from the statement.
The reporter, appearing unsatisfied with the responses, further inquired whether there was a specific policy or if it was considered a comprehensive whole. It was replied that it was regarded as a comprehensive whole.

In a comprehensive nationwide survey, former President Donald Trump has reclaimed the lead over Harris. This could be a sign that the honeymoon period that helped her catch up to her Republican opponent following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the campaign in July is ending.
Trump defeated Harris by a narrow 1-point edge, 50-49 percent, according to a recently released Fox News survey that is well within the poll’s margin of error. The results from the previous month were identical in terms of margins: President Joe Biden and Harris both finished 48–49%, one point behind Trump.
Several well-known events have happened since the last survey. Sen. J.D. Vance has been selected by Trump as his running mate, he has escaped an attempted murder, and he officially won the Republican nomination at the party convention. With the removal of Biden from the ticket and the nomination of Harris—who did not earn any primary votes—the Democrats have made major adjustments in the meantime.
Democrats are narrowly more likely to support Harris (94%) than Republicans are to support Trump (93%), with Independents voting for Trump by 8 points. 95% of Trump’s 2020 backers are still with him, while 93% of Biden’s 2020 supporters are still with Harris. Fresh voters who did not cast ballots in the last four general elections are evenly divided (49% for each candidate), which is a change from the previous month when they favored Trump over Biden by 7 points, according to Fox.
According to the website, there is a gender gap of 22 points: men prefer Trump by 12 points, while women back Harris by 10 points. From a peak of 15% in November 2023 to 10% in July, Kennedy’s support declined. The poll indicates that 9% of Trump supporters and 7% of Harris’s supporters in the election will now support third-party candidates.
With a 3-point negative net rating, Harris has a modest advantage in terms of personal likability—48% of respondents think favorably of her, while 51% do not. Comparatively, Trump is 6 points lower, with 47% of respondents seeing him favorably and 53% negatively, even though they are the highest ratings he has had in more than 4 years. Since last month, when Trump had a negative 12-point net rating and Harris had a 10-point negative net rating, both candidates had improved.
