Kamala Harris Just Made a Major Mistake—This Could Cost Her the Election!

Vice President Kamala Harris was criticized by Fox News presenter and contributor Tammy Bruce and the Outnumbered panel for her adoption of an accent to sound more southern during a rally in North Carolina.

Speaking to union members in the southern battleground state, Harris made use of statements that panelist Gerri Willis, a resident of the state, said sounded blatantly false.

Bruce began the segment by noting that Election Day is just 63 days away, marking the start of September. He pointed out that in some key swing states, early voting would begin in just a few days. According to recent national polls, former President Trump and Vice President Harris are in a very close race, with many polls showing results within the margin of error.

However, Bruce highlighted that there is still no clear understanding of the vice president’s policies. He mentioned that Harris’s official website lacks any section detailing her platform, and she has only conducted one interview since August 6th, the day she announced Tim Walz as her running mate. In contrast, Bruce noted that Trump and his running mate J.D. Vance have participated in at least 34 interviews during that same period.

Bruce continued by noting that Harris is now being accused of employing a new tactic to avoid the press. He described how the vice president was seen wearing headphones as she walked past a group of reporters the previous day. Without stopping to take any questions, she simply waved, supposedly indicating that she couldn’t hear them, as she adjusted her earbuds and quickly boarded a flight.

The co-host speculated that it felt as though they were in an alternate universe, suggesting that Americans were finally recognizing how policies directly impact their quality of life. The co-host noted that, with school starting, parents were dealing with everyday concerns such as driving kids to school, rising gas prices, meal planning, and the worry of whether they could afford next month’s rent. These, the co-host implied, were the issues that truly mattered to Americans and wondered whether they would notice that Harris had not provided any specifics.

Willis agreed, stating that the economy was the main issue, and observed that Harris was not discussing it in meaningful detail. Willis mentioned that when Harris did address the economy, her comments seemed disconnected from how it works. Willis pointed out that Americans could see the impact for themselves, noting how the prices of essentials like bread, eggs, and steak had increased significantly over the past three years. Willis even shared a personal experience of trying to buy a steak, only to find it prohibitively expensive.

Willis also mentioned finding something amusing about Harris’s speech to the union, specifically commenting on her adoption of an unusual Southern accent, which Willis, as a Southerner from North Carolina, found quite strange.

Bruce mentioned that North Carolina’s early voting was set to begin in three days and noted that the longer Harris waited, the more significant it could become. Bruce also referenced a comparison that had been made to Foghorn Leghorn and stated the intention to play a tape related to what Gerri had mentioned.

Harris was reported to have told the rally attendees to thank union members for benefits like paid leave, vacation time, sick leave, and paid family leave. Bruce remarked that the speech felt very strange, expressing confusion over why Harris, who is not a Southerner, would adopt such an accent.

Willis added that the attempt didn’t seem authentic, noting that Harris’s accent felt false. Willis suggested that when someone not from the South adopts that accent, it may give the impression that they hold condescending views about Southerners, implying that Harris might think less of them.
