The CEO of X, Elon Musk, is relocating the company’s headquarters from the progressive metropolis of San Francisco, California. Furthermore, the day he has selected for it is lyrical.

The San Francisco offices of X, previously Twitter, will close on Friday, September 13, according to a story from Fox News, which was confirmed by the Tesla CEO in an email to staff members.

Musk disclosed his intention to move X and SpaceX’s worldwide headquarters from California last month. This decision came after Governor Gavin Newsom signed a bill that bans schools from informing parents about their children’s gender identity.

Musk announced that X would move its headquarters to Austin, Texas, and that SpaceX would move its base from Hawthorne, California to Starbase, Texas. He blamed the relocation on this legislation and other laws like it that he felt hurt families and businesses, citing the gender identity law as a turning point.

Since becoming more involved in politics and endorsing former President Donald Trump in the election, the CEO has been a critic of California policy. He demanded massive vote reform before the 2024 election last month using his platform.

Musk posted on X that electronic voting machines should be eliminated, noting that while the risk of being hacked by humans or AI is relatively small, it is still considered too high. His tweet received a lot of agreement.

Musk was replying to a tweet made by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an independent contender for president, who detailed a recent issue with computerized voting equipment in Puerto Rico. This comes after a prominent super PAC co-founder who backed Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday made headlines by implying that her polling numbers were exaggerated.

According to Reuters, Chauncey McLean, president of Future Forward—a super PAC that has raised hundreds of millions to back Harris in this election cycle—was reported to have spoken at DNCon Monday in Chicago

In Sunbelt states like Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina states that Democrats had largely written off in the closing days of Biden’s campaign Harris has reportedly garnered a great deal of support from young voters of color following Biden’s withdrawal, according to McLean.

According to Reuters, he mentioned that she has multiple paths with seven states in play. He added that internal polling shows voters are seeking more details about her policy positions. He asserted that voters are not interested in “white papers” or empty platitudes, but rather concrete examples of how Harris might differ from Biden and how she plans to improve their economic situation.

He also attacked Harris’s political views, this time focusing on her advocacy of equity, which he clarified is distinct from equality.

Musk, who also serves as the CEO of SpaceX and Starlink, was replying to a post on X that made several allegations about Harris’ political views and included video recordings of her talking about equity as opposed to equality.
