A Top Democrat Just Betrayed Her Own Party

In recent days, a significant number of Democrats have abandoned that ship, which is rapidly going down. After seeing the left’s continued descent into corruption, a number of state and municipal officials deserted the party and joined the right. But this trend continues all the way up to the highest levels of government, where liberal party members are being replaced by conservatives.

A politician from North Carolina’s Democratic Party has announced that they will be switching to the Republican Party. When Representative Tricia Cotham makes the switch to the Republican Party, it will provide that faction with an overwhelming majority in the state legislature. This means that Republicans will be able to overturn any veto that the current liberal governor may issue.

This is very important. Many people have a traditionalist view of North Carolina because it is located in the South. To tell the truth, though, it is more frequently a swing state. When it comes to elections, there is a sufficient amount of liberal power in the North to turn the tables. But, because the state’s Republicans hold an overwhelming majority in the General Assembly, conservatives in that state can assure that their constituents will not be subjected to any policies that are seen to be extreme on the left.

This arrives at a very important juncture. It’s possible that you believe Democrats in swing or conservative states are moderate and try to find common ground with residents who hold conservative values. Don’t let yourself get duped. The political ideology of Democrats across the country is moving further to the left.

And the situation will only continue to worsen over time. The radical policies that have brought down the states of New York, Illinois and California are being supported by an increasing number of Democrats. Even in traditionally Republican states, Democrats are becoming more radical.
